Women’s doubles world No. 1s Cheng Wen Hsing-Chien Yu Chin didn’t have any problems reaching the last year, brushing aside the challenge of local favourites Eom Hye Won-Kim Ha Na 21-19, 21-14.
They will now play China’s seventh seeds Cheng Shu-Ma Jin who beat Japan’s Matsutomo Misaki-Ayaka
Takahashi 21-12, 21-18.
Ma Jin is also in the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles with Xu Chen after beating British qualifiers Robert Blair-Gabrielle White 21-13, 21-19.
