NATIONAL singles coach Misbun Sidek has not only kept BA of Malaysia (BAM) president Datuk Seri Nadzmi Salleh waiting but also postponed a meeting with high performance director Datuk James Selvaraj two days ago. Nadzmi received the mandate from the BAM council on Sunday to settle Misbun's resignation but there has been no discussion yet.
Nadzmi is believed to have already approached Misbun but the latter hasn't confirmed a date for the meeting.
Selvaraj said Misbun spoke to him on Monday and wanted to meet on Wednesday but it didn't materialise.
"Misbun wanted to meet on Wednesday although he didn't specify what he wanted to discuss. However, I waited for him but he didn't turn up and I was also unable to contact him," said Selvaraj.
"Misbun wanted to meet me before meeting the president. Although it was a good thing that he wanted to speak to me, BAM has already given the mandate to the president."
Nadzmi said on Sunday that a meeting last Saturday was postponed as Misbun wanted to concentrate on helping Lee Chong Wei win the Malaysia Open.
However, Misbun still seems apprehensive but delaying will not help anyone and the coach must make up his mind about his future with BAM as Nadzmi has made several efforts to meet the former and settle the issue.
